Canva is a user-friendly graphic design tool that allows you to create beautiful and professional designs for blogs, social media accounts, or other marketing materials.
There are many freelancers out there who use Canva everyday and since may be a great opportunity for you as well, here are my favorite ways to make money with Canva.

Canva is extremely useful when it comes to creating content for social media marketing clients.
Social media marketing services are in demand and since every new or existing business now needs to have a presence online, they will continue to be.
Canva has high quality social media post templates that can be edited and adjusted easily for your social media clients.
I and my fiancee always use Canva for our Fiverr clients and we’re happy with what we’re able to deliver for them.

2. Make money with Canva as a Graphic Designer
If you love graphic design and you don’t want to handle any other tasks for your clients, you can just focus on design jobs and make money with Canva doing just that.
When your target audience focuses more on online marketing, your service can be about designing logos, social media banners, Ad creative designs, etc.
In case they still use traditional marketing, you can offer business cards, flyers, posters design, etc.
And every gig comes with other opportunities.
You can always consider these other opportunities to expand your services or you can keep on just focusing on graphic design.

Some people might still not believe it, but there are businesses and professionals out there who are ready to pay for Canva templates.
And that’s how a lot of freelancers make money with Canva.
Basically you create Canva templates packages for a specific niche or a market and sell them in marketplaces such as Etsy or Creative Market.
The revenue you generate by selling Canva templates is also some sort of passive income.
Because while you have to update your shop from time to time with new Canva templates, the ones that have been listed time ago will still be making you money.
I once decided to test an Etsy shop, designed some basic Canva templates and listed them.
I got a message within hours.

There are also other platforms where you can sell templates and make money with Canva.
It might be a little harder to be accepted in the Creative Market marketplace, since they take the quality of the work more seriously, but it is worth it.

There is another method you can use to make money with Canva, that I personally like very much.
This is done by helping people design and uplevel their own brands.
Many people don’t know where to start when it comes to launching their new business idea.
You can help them with everything needed to start; selecting brand colors, the fonts, the overall look, vibe and vision of their new brand.
Thanks to Canva, you can select brand colors, brand fonts, add logo and put them all together as a Brand kit.
And if the client loves the brand kit you prepared for them, you can brand every other piece of content with just a few clicks.
The hardest part is to be able to identify your target audience and reach out to people to offer them your brand design services.

After brand design, usually the next step for a business is to build and launch their website.
This leads us to my last and newest favorite method to make money with Canva.
Design Websites with Canva
Recently Canva added to their list of tools also the possibility to build and launch websites.
You are able to also see how they look on desktop and mobile before you launch everything.
Imagine designing a website by using a brand kit that you have ready prepared.
Just a few clicks and the website is ready.
Canva also allows you to launch the website without owning a domain.
So if you do not want to purchase one at the moment, you can use Canva as your host.
By using the Insights Tool, you can also check out how many views or traffic your website gets.
This is huge because it allows so many people with no budget to experiment new business ideas.
I think we will see in the future more and more people who make money with Canva building websites.
How to find Clients and start earning money with Canva
There are two ways to make money with Canva and make your online business flourish:
1. Marketplaces.
Although they hold a percentage for every sale you make, marketplaces are great because they help you with traffic.
It is a great option for starters, because you do not have to spend your time and energy finding clients.
If you are selling on Fiverr, all you have to do is create a seller profile and publish your gigs.
You need to be good at communicating with sellers and closing the sales.
Then do the actual work on Canva, deliver the project and get paid.
On Etsy, all you have to do is prepare the packages with Canva.
Next you create the listing images and optimize your shop with selected keywords.
From time to time you will need to add new listings.
2. Finding clients on your own.
If you are confident that you can get clients on your own, then you do not need marketplaces.
This is great for people who can get traffic from social media, etc.
But If you are a starter, use the help of marketplaces at least in the beginning.
Final Thoughts
As a freelancer you can money with Canva and you don’t need to have any qualified skills.
